HISTORY

Eurofox Pictures, Ireland

Eurofox Pictures was founded by Stephen Salvati (CEO) in 2005. Ireland has changed greatly over the last decade, with a huge influx of immigrants, particularly from Eastern Europe. A vast number seek to perfect their English language skills to both develop their prospects and aid their social integration into Irish society. Due to demand from English students, Stephen set up the English Language Centre in the heart of Dublin’s city centre to facilitate larger classes and easy access for students.

The centre is located just off Dublin’s renowned and central Grafton Street, within easy access of Dublin’s DART train and LUAS tram lines. The language centre facilitates both full-time and part-time students/workers, many of whom require a greater standard of English as a requirement for their current occupations, further education or as a new skill to expand their opportunities both at home and abroad. The centre is a recognised and certified TOEFL centre and all levels of English speakers are catered for.

The Language Centre at Eurofox is only one branch of Eurofox Pictures. Eurofox Pictures in itself is a film production company. The film institute at Eurofox offers part-time film/media workshops, covering all areas of film-making, from performing, story-boarding, directing, shooting, editing and all areas in between. Stunts/martial arts training is also taught to film students at the nearby Trinity College gym in association with The Nin-Judo Federation of Ireland, of which Stephen is founder and president.

Eurofox’s English Language Centre is very excited about its new collaboration with the Technical University of Ostrava. This is a wonderful and exciting opportunity to spread its teaching methodology and reach many more international students at a university providing state-of-the-art facilities.

Significance

The advantages of having high English language skills in today’s globalized world and economy cannot be emphasized enough. Modern English is the third most spoken language in the world today and is the dominant international language in communications, business, science, aviation, entertainment, radio and diplomacy. It is used extensively as a second language and as an official language throughout commonwealth countries and countless international organizations. English is one of the official languages of the United Nations. The benefit of a practical, professional, affordable and short-term English Language course in today’s economy is immeasurable. A working knowledge of English has become a requirement in a number of fields, occupations and professions such as medicine and as a consequence over a billion people speak English to at least a basic level. Our aim to instill a high standard of English in each student, so they may be personally and professionally reinforced with a first-rate second language, which will broaden their opportunities, horizons and overall confidence.
